Faculty Overview
Gilda Rovan, Lynne Hinton and Marlene Marshall have over 60 years, collectively, of front line experience in the field of Holistic Nutrition. They are each in clinical practice and are continuously taking courses and educating themselves on the latest nutritional research in order to ensure that their knowledge and the Webinar information are both relevant and current. Together they have worked as a team to inspire and educate practitioners and students since the inception of the Nutritional Preceptorship Program in 1997.
Lynne and Marlene are owners and operators of the Edison Institute of Nutrition and Gilda works with them as a member of EIN’s Faculty as Curriculum Advisor and Instructor. The Edison Institute of Nutrition was established in 1996. EIN is an International Holistic Nutrition school, training nutrition professionals worldwide! Gilda Rovan, BA, ROHP, DIHom(Pract)
Gilda Rovan is a Registered Orthomolecular Holistic Practitioner, in clinical practice since 1997. She received her Practitioner’s Diploma in Homeopathy from the British Institute of Homeopathy in 2009 and is a Certified Biotherapeutic Drainage Practitioner. Gilda continued her education by studying with brilliant educators, including Dr. Mikhael Adams, Milton, and Dr. Gerard Gueniot, Belgium, since 2001. Gilda currently has a private clinical practise in North York, ON and is a member of the faculty of the Edison Institute of Nutrition. She uses food, supplements, homeopathic remedies, BEAM (an energetic technique created by Dr. Joan Beattie), and Biotherapeutic Drainage in conjunction with Auricular Therapy to help her clients move toward a state of optimal health and well-being. Ms. Rovan has lectured to numerous groups, taught nutritional practicums, counselled patients in the offices of medical doctors, and has appeared on Canadian TV Talk shows. Her extensive nutritional and alternative therapy background as a practitioner and her career as a former elementary school teacher in North York enable her to pass on the latest techniques and her most successful strategies to our large network of practitioners in an easy-to-understand manner. Lynne Hinton BSc, BEd, ROHP, CHCP
Lynne Hinton is a Registered Orthomolecular Holistic Practitioner, Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner, and professional member of IONC. She has authored two texts, Nutritional Symptomatology and Advanced Nutrition Practice. Lynne also offers an in-depth training in Live and Dry Cell Microscopy and teaches a certified cancer coaching program for practitioners. Lynne has taught nutrition for 16 years in the Canadian public school system. She has over 25 years of experience as a Holistic Nutritionist, training health care professionals worldwide. After her realization that Canada’s Food Guide and the RDA’s were not the path to optimal health, she was inspired to train and become a Holistic Nutritionist. Lynne is Co-owner and Director of the Edison Institute of Nutrition, a Canadian school which offers online diploma programs in Holistic Nutrition. She is also Co-owner of Health House, a thriving clinical practice in Markham Ontario. Lynne is a leader in the holistic health field where her focus is on educating and empowering her clients to take more responsibility for their own preventative health care. Marlene Marshall, CNP, ROHP, CHCP
Marlene is Co-owner and Director of the Edison Institute of Nutrition, a Canadian school which offers correspondence diploma programs in Applied Holistic Nutrition. She is also Co-owner of Health House, a thriving clinical practice in Markham, Ontario. Marlene has over 21 years’ experience in nutrition, homeopathy, and biotherapeutic drainage and 14 years’ experience in Psychosomatic Energetic Testing. Marlene graduated from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition, with first class honors and has continued to expand her knowledge by studying with some of the world’s most exceptional mentors. She has studied Biotherapeutic Drainage and Terrain Homeopathy with Dr. Gerard Guéniot, a leader in Natural Medicine in France and Belgium, for 12 years. “When we rebalance the physiology of the client, pathology disappears. We do not treat disease, we work to balance the client.” Along with Biotherapeutic Drainage & Darkfield Microscopy, Marlene has employed Psychosomatic Energetics (PSE) to dissolve the emotions that provoke chronic health issues. Her combination of knowledge, extensive training, compassion and ability to listen makes her an excellent practitioner and approachable mentor.
