DIABETES 1 & 2 – Over 371 Million Worldwide
Historically, the rise in diabetes was prompted by a flawed nutritional and exercise program, by the now-refuted Seven Countries Study. The study, published in the 1950’s by the sugar industry-funded researcher, Ancel Keys, Ph.D., sparked an increase in the quantity of net carbohydrates recommended in your diet and a severe reduction in healthy fats. This imbalance affects your cellular resistance to the hormones insulin, leptin, and ghrelin. This cellular resistance is the real foundation to problems with diabetes – not high blood sugar, which is a symptom, not the cause.
Sleep is another important factor in metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and weight loss. Melatonin, the hormone that manages sleep and wake cycles, is fat soluble and is stored in your fat cells. So, when we decrease fat cells, the melatonin is released into circulation and is now available for use. So we actually sleep better. If we have low insulin levels when we are sleeping, we have more oxygen to spare and that will actually burn more and more fatty tissue because you need oxygen to burn fat. So, you can actually burn more fat while you are sleeping. And, exercise, of course! if you consume a diet that converts a lot of the foods you are eating into sugar, especially starches and protein, then you will have to adhere to a very strict exercise plan in order to maintain your weight. However, once you regain your leptin sensitivity and your body starts burning off excess fat, you will retain muscle and lean mass without having to endure countless hours on a treadmill.
Biotherapeutic drainage, using the UNDA numbered homeopathic compounds is an excellent way to protect the liver and kidneys. They will preserve their function and help them continue to clean the body’s terrain. We are inundated by toxins and, particularly for those suffering from disease, our liver and kidneys are overworked and need additional help to do their jobs. Environmental toxins and hormonal imbalances are noted for initiating insulin resistance. When the body is in a diseased state, it is actually necessary to use more than one remedy to support and clean each of these organs.
