RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Navigating Rheumatoid Arthritis – A Path to Wellness and Empowerment
There are more than 200 rheumatic diseases. These include Osteoarthritis, where the cartilage may entirely wear away, Fibromyalgia causing localized tender points, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders, and hips, and Bursitis, inflammation of the bursae, which may limit the movement of nearby joints. Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease that primarily affects the joints. It is an inflammatory condition that causes pain, swelling, and stiffness. RA interferes with one’s mobility and daily functions, resulting in disability, and can progress to deformity and irreversible joint damage.
As with all autoimmune diseases, in Rheumatoid Arthritis, the immune system attacks its own body tissues. In some, its inflammatory process may affect other systems, like the lungs, eyes, skin, heart, kidneys, nerves, and blood vessels. Medical Treatment is focused on the symptoms rather than the cause and Rheumatoid Arthritis has been labeled as incurable. Medications, in particular NSAIDs, address the inflammation, pain, slow down the progression, and may be accompanied by side effects, including stomach irritation, heart problems, and kidney damage. It is important for us to recognize that everything is changeable. We are innately built to survive. Give your body the tools that it needs to heal itself and get out of its way.
This 2-hour In-Depth Webinar Will Discuss:

Rheumatic conditions are characterized by inflammation or pain in the connective tissue structures of the body. This includes the joints, tendons, ligaments, bones, and muscles and can affect the internal organs such as the lungs, heart, skin, nerves, muscles, eyes, and kidneys. Common symptoms include redness, heat, swelling, and pain. There are more than 200 rheumatic conditions. Some are known as autoimmune diseases because they occur when the immune system, which normally protects the body from infection, starts to harm the healthy tissues.
With all these risks, it is time look and try more natural and holistic methods of preventing and treating this painful disease. We have to address underlying causes with any immune disorder. So, let’s get started. We will talk about Diets, appropriate/effective EFA’s, repairing leaky gut, reducing acidity and dealing with microorganisms. Gilda will talk about how to clean toxins out of joints and then we can rebuild. Supplements for healing immunity, exercise, and losing weight is key to recovery. Marlene did a great job of addressing emotional issues. Modalities such as Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Osteopathy, Muscle Activation Technique (MAT), and Myofascial Release are very important. Marlene also talked about stress and its effect on immunity.
Thyme is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. Research has indicated that it could be therapeutic for Rheumatoid Arthritis. In a 2018 case-controlled study, using 500 RA patients, on the prevalence and predictors of herbal medicine usage among adults, they found that half of the subjects in the RA group and a third of those in the control group used herbal medicines. Among those, most frequently used were Thyme (43.4%), Ginger (28.5%), and Cinnamon (21.5%). The study showed that more than half of RA patients used herbal medicines and all had anti-inflammatory results. Since most drugs, used for the treatment of RA, have severe side effects and are highly expensive, the proportion of patients using complementary, alternative medicine is increasing. The most frequently used are herbal medicines which are now readily available and have low or no adverse effects. They are inexpensive and may be safe and efficient.
